These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Yakt platform and services. Yakt is a platform that connects users for shared yacht experiences and charter bookings.
By using our platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Yakt platform, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily use Yakt for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not: modify or copy the materials; use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display; attempt to reverse engineer any software contained on the website; remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials.
3. Yacht Bookings and Reservations
All yacht bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the charter company. Yakt acts as an intermediary platform connecting users with yacht charter services. The actual charter agreement is between you and the charter company. Yakt is not responsible for the condition, availability, or operation of any yacht.
4. Payment Terms
Payment authorization is required when joining a trip, but charges only occur when all participants have confirmed. If minimum participation is not reached within 7 days, all authorizations are cancelled. Refund policies vary by charter company and timing of cancellation.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for providing accurate information, following safety guidelines, respecting other participants, and complying with local maritime laws. Users must be at least 18 years old to create bookings.
6. Community Standards and Objectionable Content
Yakt has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, threats of violence, spam, scams, and impersonation are strictly prohibited in all user-generated content, including messages, profile information, and trip notes. You can report any user or message from inside the app; reports are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours, which may include warning, suspending, or permanently removing the offending account and content. You can also block any user at any time, which immediately hides their content from your view and prevents them from messaging you. By using Yakt you agree not to post or transmit any objectionable content and acknowledge that doing so is grounds for immediate account termination.
7. Limitation of Liability
Yakt shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this platform or participation in yacht trips. This includes but is not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the platform, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.
9. Modifications to Terms
Yakt may revise these terms of service at any time without notice. By using this platform, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
9. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
The following terms apply to SMS/text messaging services provided through the Yakt platform.
- Program Name: Yakt.com Account Notifications
- What you'll receive: Account notifications and updates, including booking confirmations, trip reminders, payment alerts, and account security notifications. If separately opted in, you may also receive promotional messages about new trips and offers.
- Consent: By checking the SMS consent checkbox during signup or checkout and providing your mobile number, you expressly agree to receive account-related text messages from Yakt.com, LLC. This consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Message frequency: Varies based on booking activity and account events.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all text messages at any time.
- Help: Reply HELP or contact support@yakt.com.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your carrier for details.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your personal information.
Important Notice
