Question 1

How do I book a yacht?

Accepted Answer

Browse yachts on the Yachts page, pick one you like, and click "Book Now." Select your dates, choose add-ons such as a skipper or hostess, and proceed to checkout. You can pay in full or use our Split Cost option to share expenses with your crew.

Question 2

What payment options are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer three ways to pay. Full Payment charges the total amount right away. Split Cost lets you invite crew members who each pay a 99 deposit in the selected currency; after everyone joins, the remaining balance is authorized on each person's card and captured simultaneously after a 7-day window. Installment Plans break the total into scheduled payments over time.

Question 3

How does Split Cost work exactly?

Accepted Answer

When you choose Split Cost, each crew member pays a 99 deposit (in the selected currency) to join. Once all members have joined, each person's card is authorized for their share of the remaining balance. A 7-day window allows everyone to confirm. After that, all cards are charged simultaneously. If not enough crew members join in time, all deposits are returned.

Question 4

What happens if not enough crew members join?

Accepted Answer

If your trip doesn't reach the required number of crew within the 7-day authorization window, the trip is automatically cancelled and all crew card authorizations are released — crew members are never charged. The organizer's $99 deposit is non-refundable.

Question 5

When is my card actually charged?

Accepted Answer

With Full Payment, your card is charged at checkout. With Split Cost, a 99 deposit (in the selected currency) is charged immediately, and the remaining share is authorized (held but not charged) until the 7-day window closes, at which point all crew are charged at once. Installments follow a pre-set schedule.

Question 6

What is included in the yacht charter price?

Accepted Answer

The base price covers the yacht rental and basic insurance. Additional costs such as fuel, marina fees, transit logs, food provisions, skipper, hostess, and other optional add-ons are listed separately. The full cost breakdown is shown before you confirm your booking.

Question 7

What is the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)?

Accepted Answer

The APA covers running costs during your trip, including fuel, food, port fees, and tips. It is calculated as a percentage of the base charter price and collected before departure. Any unused APA is refunded after the trip.

Question 8

How are costs split among crew members?

Accepted Answer

When using Split Cost, the total trip price (base charter plus any add-ons and APA) is divided equally among all participating crew members. Each person sees their individual share before committing. The trip organizer can adjust individual shares if needed.

Question 9

Can I cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation terms depend on the charter company and how close you are to the departure date. Specific cancellation conditions are shown during booking. Generally, earlier cancellations are more likely to receive partial refunds. If a trip is cancelled because not enough crew joined, everyone receives a full refund automatically.

Question 10

How do I invite friends to my trip?

Accepted Answer

After creating a trip, go to the Crew Management section. Enter each guest's email address and they'll receive an invitation with all the trip details. You can also copy a shareable trip link. Track who has accepted, declined, or is still deciding from your trip dashboard.

Question 11

What is the Trip Planner?

Accepted Answer

The Trip Planner lets you build a detailed sailing itinerary. Choose a yacht, select a route (or create a custom one), set waypoints, and preview the journey on an interactive map. You can estimate daily sailing distances, plan stops, and see suggested routes based on your yacht's home base.

Question 12

How do curated experiences work?

Accepted Answer

Curated experiences are pre-planned sailing trips with set dates, routes, and yachts. They are created by experienced organizers and open for anyone to join. Browse available experiences, review the details, and book your spot. It's the easiest way to get on the water if you don't want to plan everything yourself.

Question 13

Do I need a sailing license?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the destination. Many countries in the Mediterranean require the skipper to hold a recognized sailing license. If you don't have one, simply add a professional skipper as an add-on when booking. No experience is needed for crewed charters.

Question 14

What safety measures are in place?

Accepted Answer

All yachts on our platform meet local maritime safety regulations. They carry required safety equipment including life jackets, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and navigation lights. Charter companies provide a safety briefing before departure. We also publish Safety Guidelines on our website for all passengers.

Question 15

What happens in bad weather?

Accepted Answer

Your safety comes first. Charter companies monitor weather conditions and may suggest itinerary changes. In the case of severe weather, the charter company will work with you on rescheduling or alternative plans. Weather-related issues are handled on a case-by-case basis according to the charter company's terms.

Question 16

Are there age restrictions?

Accepted Answer

You must be at least 18 years old to book a trip. Minors can participate as crew members when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who assumes responsibility for them.

Question 17

How do I create an account?

Accepted Answer

Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation bar. Enter your email address and create a password. You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account. Once verified, you can complete your profile, start browsing yachts, and create trips.

Question 18

Can I save yachts I like?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Click the heart icon on any yacht card to add it to your Wishlist. Access your saved yachts anytime from the Wishlist page in the main navigation. You can compare yachts and revisit them later when you're ready to book.

Question 19
