Clean Blue

Every year, thousands of tonnes of waste wash up on the coastlines we sail. Clean Blue brings together sailors, locals, and ocean lovers to protect the seas we cherish — one beach at a time.

Our Mission

Protecting what we love

Why Clean Blue

The Mediterranean alone sees over 200,000 tonnes of plastic enter its waters each year. As sailors, we witness the damage firsthand — tangled fishing nets, littered coves, and polluted harbours. Clean Blue is our commitment to reversing that trend.

What We Do

We organize hands-on beach and coastal cleanups at popular sailing destinations. Each event brings together charter crews, local volunteers, and environmental groups to collect waste, sort recyclables, and document the impact.

Get Involved

Clean Blue Ambassadors are the heart of this initiative. As an ambassador, you help organize and lead cleanups in your region, rally local participants, and represent the movement on the ground.

First Cleanup Complete: Croatia

In April 2026 we launched Yakt Clean Blue with our inaugural cleanup along the Croatian Adriatic coast. A crew of sailors and local volunteers cleared waste from beaches and anchorages between Split and the Pakleni Islands — collecting 48 kg of plastic, glass, and discarded fishing gear. This is just the start — more cleanups are planned throughout the sailing season.
